Privacy Policy

This policy describes the limited information Magna People Search receives, why it may be used, and which choices are available to visitors. The site collects little data. It is a private reference for locating public records held by Magna, Salt Lake County, and Utah offices. Visitors do not create accounts, and the site does not maintain personal public-record files.

Information You Submit

When a visitor enters a name, phone number, or address into a search form, that entry goes to the outside search provider that supplies the results. Magna People Search does not save a separate copy of the query on its servers. A message sent through the contact channel contains only the details the sender chooses to provide, and those details are used to answer the message.

Information Collected Automatically

Normal web hosting logs may record an IP address, browser type, visit time, and the pages requested. Aggregated log data helps maintain reliable service and indicates which Magna record resources visitors use. Cookies or comparable tools may support basic traffic analysis and, when applicable, the measurement of advertising.

How Information Is Used

Collected information supports site operations, troubleshooting, traffic measurement, and page improvements. Visitor lists are not sold. Magna People Search also does not create profiles that track individual users.

Privacy on Linked Services

Links may lead to Magna government pages, Salt Lake County or Utah records offices, library collections, and outside search services. Information entered after following a link is controlled by the destination's own privacy terms. The same distinction applies to sponsored search results, which an independent provider delivers.

When Information Is Shared

Hosting and technical-support vendors process server logs as part of their work. Analytics or advertising providers may also receive the automatic information described in this policy. Data may be disclosed when valid legal process requires it, but visitor information is not otherwise shared.

Safeguarding Your Information

An encrypted connection protects data while it travels to and from the site. Server logs are kept only for as long as their stated operational purposes require. Since visitors have no site accounts, Magna People Search holds no visitor password or account profile.

Visitors Under Age 18

The service is intended for adults and is not directed to children. Personal information from anyone under 18 is not knowingly collected. If a minor appears to have submitted such information, send a notice through the contact channel so it can be removed.

Utah Privacy Rights

The Utah Consumer Privacy Act, Utah Code Title 13, Chapter 61, gives covered Utah consumers rights that may include confirming or accessing personal data, deleting data they provided, obtaining a portable copy, and opting out of targeted advertising or sale. The law applies only when its requirements and business thresholds are met. A request concerning data held directly by Magna People Search may be sent through the Contact page; the contact mailbox and relevant server logs can then be checked.

The UCPA does not erase government records. Records held by Magna City, Salt Lake County, or Utah agencies remain under the control of the office that keeps them. Their classification and access are governed by the Government Records Access and Management Act, Utah Code Title 63G, Chapter 2. Requests to seal, redact, correct, or restrict those records must go to the proper custodian under the law that applies to that record.

Policy Changes

Any revised privacy terms will appear here. Using Magna People Search after a revision is posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
